West Ham have improved since the international break after a nightmare start to the campaign

After a stumbling start to the season, West Ham have started to fire all cylinders, having lost just one of their last five matches - a late 1-0 home defeat to Wolves. The Hammers were the first team to stop Chelsea in the Premier League last weekend (0-0) and secured an 8-0 win over Macclesfield Town in the EFL Cup in midweek. Prior to that, Manuel Pellegrini's men ended their 4 match losing streak by beating Everton on the travel. Defense remain a concern - they Hammers conceded 11 times in five matches prior to their first clean sheet of the season last time out. As to direct encounters, West Ham have won only one of their last 18 league and cup matches against Manchester United.

At least one of Marco Arnautovic and Chicharito Hernandez likely to return from injury for Saturday’s match, with Michail Antonio waiting in reserve to deputise in attack if they don't make it. Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko will be the offensive wingers while Declan Rice, mark Noble and Pedro Obiang will anchor the midfield. No changes are expected in defense where Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop will start as centre backs, Arthur Masuaku and Pablo Zabaleta as full backs. Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini, Andy Carroll, Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez are all sidelined.

Nemanja Matic and Marcus Rashford are both available to feature after suspension, with the former in line to start in midfield. It remains to be seen whether Paul Pogba will feature as the relationship between him and Josè Mourinho continues to deteriorate. Alexis Sanchez is likely to retain his starting berth despite his poor form, completing the attacking trio alongside Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard.
