With four losses from their last five games West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini will be feeling high pressure on his shoulders. That pressure was temporarily relieved by an unexpected 1-0 win at Chelsea last weekend, but Wednesday night's 2-0 defeat at Wolverhampton was hugely disappointing. The Hammers have gone a quite underwhelming W2-D1-L4 at home this season and currently sit 16th in the table, one point above relegation zone (with one game in hand). As to previous meetings, West Ham came out on top last season thanks to Declan Rice’s first goal for the club. Anyway, that their only victory in their last 12 home matches against Arsenal

Michail Antonio is set to return to the fold having sat out in midweek with Sebastien Haller likely to make way up front. Felipe Anderson is expected to play as number ten while Andryi Yarmolenko and Pablo Fornals should start on the wings. Robert Snodgrass is a major doubt after he picked up a knock against Wolves, Jack Wilshere is rated as no better than 50:50 to face his former club and Winston Reid will not be risked. Manuel Lanzini and Lukasz Fabianski are definitely out for the Hammers.

Arsenal have shown no signs of improvement after sacking Unai Emery

Arsenal are looking to end their worst run of form for 42 years. The Gunners have only won two of their last 13 outings in the top flight and enter this match in 11th position with 19 points from their first 15 games. Unai Emery has been fired as a result and Freddie Ljungberg has taken temporary charge. The caretaker manager has now picked up only one point from his two games at the helm having drawn 2-2 with Norwich and lost 1-2 at home with Brighton last time out. They have not kept a clean sheet in their last 11 matches. One positive ahead of Monday's match is that Arsenal have at least not lost back-to-back games since April.

Hector Bellerin returned to the starting XI on Thursday and is expected to retain his berth as right back. The likes of David Luiz, Sokratis and Kieran Tierney are likely to complete the backline. Alexandre Lacazette is expected to lead the line, with Nicolas Pepe, Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang tucked behind him. Reiss Nelson, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are further options for their interim boss to consider out wide. In midfield, Joe Willock could be replaced by Matteo Guendouzi or Lucas Torreira. Dani Ceballos is sidelined while Rob Holding is not 100% fit.
