Watford v Wolves Betting Preview

Watford have conceded only one goal in their four FA Cup ties this season

Watford have won 6 of their last 9 matches in all competitions and currently sit 8th in the Premier League standings. The Hornets were in action in midweek, hammering Fulham 4-1 at home to consign them to relegation. In the FA Cup, they were victors away at Woking, Newcastle and QPR before defeating Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road to reach this stage of the competition. Javi Gracia's men comfortably beat Wolves 2-0 when they met at Molineux back in October in their one and only meeting this term.

Watford will definitely be without midfielder Tom Cleverley, who is absent with a calf problem while Roberto Pereyra is a major doubt as he picked up a hip injury in midweek. In defense, Kiko Femenia and Daryl Janmaat compete for the starting spot at right-back, while Christian Kabasele will hope to replace Adrian Mariappa. The likes of Troy Deeney and Gerard Deulofeu will lead the line, altough Isaac Success and Andre Gray are fully fit and are pushing for a start. Heurelho Gomes has started in each previous rounds and should get the nod over Ben Foster here.

Wolves have won their last six games at Wembley Stadium

Wolves are undefeated in 12 out of their last 14 matches in all competitions, winning eight. They enter this clash fresh off a wonderful 2-1 comeback win against Manchester United on Tuesday and a 2-0 loss at Burnley last weekend. Nuno Espirito Santo's men are 7th in Premier League table and have exceeded even their lofty expectations in their first season back in the top flight. They knocked Liverpool out of this competition and they've taken points off Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City. Wolves are an entertaining team - they have scored in nine of their last 11 outings and kept just three clean sheets.

Nuno Espirito Santo has no injury concerns ahead of the their trip to Wembley.
John Ruddy will hope to retain his place in goal after starting each of his side’s FA Cup ties so far this season. Ruben Vinagre was handed a start against Man United in midweek, but he is almost certain to be replaced by Jonny, on the opposite flank to Matt Doherty. The likes of Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota are likely to spearhead the attack while Leander Dendoncker, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves are expected to start in the middle of the park.
