Tottenham haven’t kept a clean sheet in seven out of their eight league matches

Josè Mourinho has won five of seven matches in all competitions since his arrival at Tottenham and has quickly reversed the fortunes of the Lilywhites. In four Premier League matches, the Spurs have closed the gap between themselves and Chelsea from 10 points to three and are back into contention for a Champions League berth. Goals have been flowing since Mourinho's appointment, as each match during his tenure have contained three or more. The Portuguese manager revived more than one player, with Dele Alli, Lucas Moura, Heung-Min Son, and Harry Kane all performing at their best this season.

Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris remains out for the hosts with an elbow injury, so Paulo Gazzaniga will continue in between the sticks. Erik Lamela and Ben Davies are also still sidelined while Tanguy Ndombele is available for selection. The French midfielder should not be preferred to Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko, and Harry Winks looks the first alternative in the middle of the park. Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dele Alli look near-certain starters in attack, while Lucas Moura and Christian Eriksen are in contention for the remaining spot. The back four - Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Aurier - will also remain unchanged.

Chelsea's solid top-four position is now under real threat

Chelsea have suffered a wildly contrasting run of form and Frank Lampard right now is trying to get his side out of a low ebb that has seen them lose four of their last five in league fixtures. Two home defeats against West Ham and Bournemouth and two away defeatsa gainst Man City and Everton has seen their gap in fourth place slip from 12 points to just three points. The fall was somewhat softened by qualifying to the Champions League knockout stage. As to direct encounters, the Blues have won only one of their latest seven away matches against Tottenham.

Frank Lampard passed Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud fit ahead of tthis clash, leaving only Ruben Loftus-Cheek and the forgotten Marco Van Ginkel on the sidelines. Antonio Rudiger and Kurt Zouma are likely to continue as centre backs, while Reece James will be pushing for a recall at right-back after his benching last weekend. The midfield three will probably see N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic playing from the off while Willian should get the nod over Mason Mount up front. Christian Pulisic also is under threat in the offensive trio, with Pedro and Callum Hudson-Odoi viable alternatives.
