SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY v BRIGHTON BETTING PREVIEW
Sheffield Wednesday finished the season as the final team to qualify for the play-offs. They have just one win from their last six league games, with 3 draws and 2 losses. Wednesday’s form at Hillsborough has been very strong all season with just two defeats on their own pitch and only Hull have scored more home goals.Head-coach Carlos Carvalhal is likely to field a 4-3-3 formation with Hooper, Joao and Forestieri up front. Ross Wallace will be available for selection after serving his three match ban for the red card he picked up on late March. Defender Bennett and forward Sougou are both rated as doubtful.
Brighton finished third in the Championship regular season, level on points with the second placed Middleborough but they missed out on automatic promotion by a mere two goals after failing to beat Middlesbrough last Saturday. They ended the Championship campaign a whole 15 points clear of Sheff Wed in sixth and drew just over half of their away matches in the Championship campaign.
The Seagulls will make the trip to South Yorkshire without two of their key men - captain Lewis Dunk and midfielder Dale Stephens - who are both suspended. The likes of Solly March, Uwe Hunemeier and Bobby Zamora are all sidelined through respective injuries.
Sheffield Wednesday have never lost in any of the 8 home matches they played against Brighton so far, with 4 wins and 4 draws.
The last three meetings between the two sides having finished 0-0 and just two goals scored in their last five encounters.
