TOTTENHAM v ATLETICO MADRID BETTING PREVIEW
Spurs, who observed a poor end to the English Premier League season last time up, where they surrendered the title to Leicester City and lost the second place to bitter rivals Arsenal, opened their pre-season preparations with a 1-2 defeat to Juventus on Tuesday. Erik Lamela scored a second-half consolation goal after two early strikes from the Italian team.Summer signings Vincent Janssen and Victor Wanyama were involved last time out and are expected to take part again during this match. The likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose and Eric Dier have all being given extra time to recover from their Euro 2016 travails, along with Hugo Lloris. Belgian trio Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele also miss out, along with Wales left-back Ben Davies. Christian Eriksen is a major doubt and is very likely to sit out for this match. Furthermore, they are missing their first choice centre back pairing with youngsters Dominic Ball and Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Atletico beat Numancia 2-0 in their opening pre-season match last week. Fernando Torres opened the scoring at the 35th before an own goal doubled it early after the restart. After this match, Atletico takes on Melbourne Victory on July 31 before taking on Galatasaray to kick off August.
Diego Simeone will be keen to give all the players at his disposal a run out here. Amath Deihiou and Fernando Torres are likely to start up front in a 4-4-2 formation. Antoine Griezmann, Yannick Carrasco and Koke are not yet back from summer breaks while the likes of Diego Godin and Filipe Luis will all get the nod. Argentine forward Lucas Vietto is missing too ahead of a proposed move away from the Vicente Calderon, while Angel Correa competes with Argentina at the Olympics.
