ROMA v LAZIO BETTING PREVIEW
Roma have a mountain to climb in order to reach the Coppa Italia final, after losing 2-0 to the Biancocelesti in the first leg last month. Luciano Spalletti's men were unbeaten in 7 matches against Lazio before the defeat in the first leg of the semifinal. They have warmed up for this game by winning four on the spin, scoring at least twice in each game. When these two teams met in the league earlier this season, Roma were 2-0 winners and so they are more than capable to make a comeback. Anyway, the Giallorossi have shown a lot of weaknesses in their back line - if they concede a goal they are going to have to win by at least three goals to progress to the final because of the away goals rule.
Luciano Spalletti will have Kevin Strooman back after the Dutchman missed the 2-0 win over Empoli at the weekend. Hence, Radja Nainggolan will move in his offensive midfield position, flanked by Mohamed Salah and supporting the lone striker Edin Dzeko. The Brazilian duo Bruno Peres and Emerson Palmieri wil lbe deployed as wing backs in a 3-4-1-2 system. Daniele De Rossi is a major doubt in midfield and could be replaced by Leandro Paredes. No changes are expected at the back.
Lazio enter this match in brillant form. They kicked off the Serie A weekend with a 2-1 win at Sassuolo and sit fourth in the Serie standings, 4 points shy of 3rd placed Napoli. The Biancocelesti have won eight of their last 10 matches in all competitions, going unbeaten in that time. Four of their last five matches have seen them keep a clean sheet too. As a result, they have a big chance to defend their first-leg advantage, as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile scored either side of half-time as Lazio drew first blood in this tie last month.
Lazio's are without goalkeeper Federico Marchetti, who hasn't featured since November. Both Felipe Anderson and Keita Balde are expected to start up front as Marco Parolo is suspended, and as consequence Senad Lulic will be needed in midfield. The youngster Cristiano Lombardi provide a further option. Dusan Basta will return in defence after missing last time out, and will form the four man backling alongside Stefan De Vrij, Wesley Hoedt and Stefan Radu.
