Liverpool v Everton Betting Preview
Liverpool are in desperate need of a win in the Merseyside Derby as they are winless in the Premier League in 2023 with their only win coming in the FA Cup third-round replay against Wolves. The Reds have won just one of their previous seven games, a run that leaves them slumped tenth in the Premier League table, as many points behind the Top 4 as they are from the relegation zone. Scoring goals has been a problem this season. Jurgen Klopp's men have only netted 34 goals in 20 top flight games, with Mo Salah well behind his standards with 7 goals scored so far.
Everton have upset the league leaders Arsenal in Sean Dyche's first game in charge. Despite that, the Toffees are sitting in 18th spot in the standings, level on points with Bournemouth and one point behind 17th placed Leeds. Prior to the win over the Gunners, they were winless in the last 10 outings (D2 L8) and failed to keep a clean sheet in the last 9 matches. They have conceded the same amount of goals conceded by 3rd placed Manchester United but their attack is the worst of the league with only 16 goals scored in 21 games.
As to direct encounters, the Goodison outfit have won just one out of their last 27 meetings with their neighbours from across Stanley Park. The sides played out a goalless draw earlier this year but the Reds were fortunate to come away with a point after Conor Coady's goal was ruled out for a very tight offside.
Best Odds
Liverpool are 7/10 to win on Monday with BetUK. Everton are backable at 9/2 with Betfred while the draw is priced at 16/5 with Quinnbet.
Team News & Probable Line-Ups
Liverpool (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Matip, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Bajcetic; Salah, Nunez, GakpoLiverpool has received a boost with the news that Diogo Jota is back in full training and the Portugal international could make an apeearance off the bench. Virgil van Dijk, Arthur Melo and Roberto Firmino also returned to training but the Merseyside Derby comes too early for them. Dawin Nunez is expected to spearhead the attack, flanked by Mo Salah and Cody Gakpo. In midfield, Stefan Bajcetic will retain his berth alongside Jordan Henderson and Fabinho while no changes are expected at the back. Luis Diaz, Thiago Alcantara and Ibrahima Konate remain sidelined.
Everton (4-5-1): Pickford; Coleman, Coady, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Iwobi, Onana, Gueye, Doucoure, McNeil; Maupay
Michael Keane is close to a return but James Garner, Andros Townsend and Nathan Patterson are sidelined. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a doubt due to a hamstring problem, meaning that Neal Maupay should start as lone forward. Alex Iwobi and Dwight McNeil will support the striker from the wings while the likes of Idrissa Gueye, Abdoulaye Doucourè and Mvom Onana will anchor the midfield. At the back, Conor Coady and James Tarkowski will form the central pair, with Vitaliy Mikolenko and the veteran Seamus Coleman will start as full backs.

Our Liverpool v Everton Predictions
Everton looked a different side under Sean Dyche and are well capable to earn at least a point against a struggling Liverpool.
We go for the Everton +2 Handicap and Under 3.5 goals.
Tensions are sure to be running high in a match neither can afford to lose. So we expect more than four players to be booked.
Abdoulaye Doucourè is our pick as a player to be shown a card.
