Liverpool v Arsenal Betting Preview
Liverpool suffered a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad last weekend and recorded a goalless draw at Anfield against a struggling Chelsea in midweek. This result ended their three match losing streak as Jurgen Klopp's men previously suffered losses at Bournemouth and Real Madrid. The Reds sit 8th in the Premier League standings and a defeat on Sunday could leave them 13 points back from the top four with nine games to play.Arsenal enter this clash on the back of a comfortable win over Leeds (4-1) at the Emirates Stadium. As a result, they lead the Premier table with 72 points, eight more than Manchester City, although their closest rivals have one game in hand. The Gunners haven’t showed any nerves yet as they approach a first league crown in 19 years, winning their last seven Premier League games in a row and scoring eight goals in the last two.
As to direct encounters, the Gunners have only won one of their last five games against the Reds and that victory came in their last direct encounter back in October, when Arteta's men beat the Reds 3-2 in North London.
Probable Line-ups
Liverpool (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Elliott; Salah, Gakpo, Nunez
Virgil van Dijk and Thiago Alcantara are available for Liverpool, while Luis Diaz is fit again but is not expected to feature. In midfield, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and Harvey Elliot all look set to start against the league leaders while, at the back, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are both expected to return with Kostas Tsimikas and Joe Gomez making room. Up front, Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo are favorites over Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino to partner Mo Salah.
Arsenal (4-3-3): Ramsdale; White, Holding, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli
William Saliba is a big doubt as the defender continues to recover from a back injury. Rob Holding should start once again as centre back, alongside Gabriel Magalhaes, while Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ben While will play as full backs. No changes are expected in midfield, with Granit Xhaka and Martin Odegaard expected to flank Thomas Partey. In attack, Gabriel Jesus is likely to get the nod over Leandro Trossard and Eddie Nketiah for the central berth, while Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka will start out wide.
Best Odds
Liverpool are slightly underdogs here - at 17/10 with William Hill - despite playing at home. The draw is backable at 11/4 with Unibet while Arsenal to win is priced at 13/8 with SpreadEx.Liverpool v Arsenal Predictions
Arsenal have won 7 Premier League games on the bounce (three of them away from Emirates). They are the best-performing side on their travels with 34 points taken from a possible 42.
Furthermore, the Gunners have scored 8 goals in their last two outing while Liverpool have mustered just one goal in their last four games (Salah's opener against Man City).
While recent history may not favour the North Londoners in this fixture, all the momentum is with Arsenal – and that should be enough to steer them to a rare victory away at Anfield Road.
We back Arsenal to win 2-1 and Bukayo Saka to put his name on the scoresheet.
The Both Teams To Score bet is also appealing.
