Atletico Madrid v Chelsea Betting Preview
Atletico Madrid enter this clash on the back of a shocking 2-0 home defeat to Levante. Anyway, Diego Simeone's men still top La Liga table, three points clear of second-placed Real Madrid with a game in hand. As to Champions League, Atletico were below par in the Group stage, finishing runners-up behind Bayern Munich in Group A, losing 4-0 away to the Bavarians and drawing 1-1 against a weakened team in the return fixture. The Colchoneros scored only seven goals in six games in this season’s group stages, the lowest tally amongst the 16 remaining sides in the competition.
Chelsea enter Tuesday's match off the back of a 1-1 draw with Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. Thomas Tuchel has turned things around, recording four wins and two draws in six league outings, as well as an FA Cup victory, with only two goals conceded in those matches. In Champions League, under Frank Lampard, the Blues comfortably topped the Group E having picked up 14 points from their six games against Sevilla, Rennes and Krasnodar. The Blues have something to prove as they have not progressed beyond this stage since 2013/14.
- Since they play on neutral grand, Atletico Madrid are only slight favorites here, with Unibet pricing the Spanish outfit to win at 7/4.
- The Draw is available at 21/10 with bet365.
- Chelsea are available at 2/1 with Betway.

Chelsea (4-3-3): Mendy; Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Rudiger; James, Kante, Jorginho, Alonso; Mount, Abraham, Werner
Tammy Abraham is available after overcoming an ankle injury suffered at the weekend. In midfield, N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic are in contention for a starting berth as well as Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso for the left wing back spot. Thiago Silva is expected to return to the starting XI for this game, replacing Kurt Zouma at the heart of the back.
Our Atletico Madrid v Chelsea PredictionsAtletico are notoriously difficult to break down and Chelsea are yet to ignite in the final third of the field since Tuchel took charge. Home advantage will not be a factor as the match will be played on neutral ground. As a consequence, a draw is on the cards.
