Real Madrid v Manchester City Betting Preview
Manchester City beat 4-3 Real Madrid in the opening leg at Etihad Stadium, a match that was quickly labelled by swathes of the media as one of the greatest ones in Champions League history. The Premier League outfit quickly opened a 2-0 lead through Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus, but Karim Benzema cut the gap few minutes before the half-time. Phil Foden raised to 3-1, and Vinicius Jr. responded before Bernardo Silva’s scored the 4-2. Few minutes before the final whistle, Benzema set the final result from the penalty.
Since then, Real Madrid has been crowned as La Liga champions over the weekend, following their 4-0 victory against Espanyol. On the other hand, Manchester City blew Leeds United away by the same scoreline at the weekend and maintained their one point advantage over Liverpool. It was the fourth consecutive victory, seventh in the last ten games for Pep Guardiola's men.
Both teams are scoring for fun: the Cityzens have netted 13 goals over the last three outings, while Carlo Ancelotti's men scored this tally in the last four games.
In 53 matches this season, only once have Man City had fewer corners than their opponent. On just three other occasions it’s been a tie. Real Madrid don't seem to like corner kicks at all - they lost the count 9-6 against Espanyol last Saturday (despite winning 4-0) and 6-1 against Chelsea in their last UCL fixture.
As to the players, Karim Benzema is on fire this season. The Frenchman hass scored 47th goals in 49 appearances for club and country so far. Gabriel Jesus has been in excellent form for the visitors and has six goals in his last three games. The Brazilian striker has also punished Real Madrid at Etihad last week.

Team News & Probable Line-Ups
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Mendy; Kroos, Casemiro, Modric; Rodrygo, Benzema, Vinicius Jr
Carlo Ancelotti rested Karim Benzema last time out and is expected to let the Frenchman speaheading the attack. He will be probably flanked by Brazilian duo Rodrygo-Vinicius Jr, with Federico Valverde and Marco Asensio providing further options as wingers. No changes are expected in midfield (Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric look untouchable) while David Alaba is not 100% fit but is expected to partner Militao (or Nacho) at the heart of the backline.
Manchester City (4-3-3): Ederson; Cancelo, Dias, Laporte, Zinchenko; Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Jesus, Foden
Pep Guardiola welcomes Joao Cancelo back with open arms following his first-leg suspension. The likes of Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte and Oleksandr Zinchenko should complete the four man backline, since Kyle Walker is out of the remainder of the season due to an ankle injury. Up front, Gabriel Jesus is likely to lead the line once again, alongside Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez. In midfield, Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne are sure starters, while Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan are in contention for the remaining berth.
Our Real Madrid v Manchester City Predictions
This is an incredibly difficult game to predict. We expect fireworks just like in the first leg. Prior to the Espanyol game, the Blancos conceded 10 goals in 4 matches. Hence, Man City should be able to exploit their defensive weaknesses at the Bernabeu too. We back Real Madrid to win or draw the match, but Man City should go through at the end of the day. The 2-2 scoreline is our favourite pick in the Correct Score market.Do you want to enhance your football-watching experience by betting, but don’t know where to put your money? Don’t worry!
