GERMANY v IRELAND BETTING PREVIEW
Germany suffered their first defeat to Poland in Warsaw, having previously struggled to a 2-1 win over Scotland in their group opener. This recent loss now adds to the other against Argentina at the beginning of September. Joachim Low's men have actually lost two out of three games since this summer's triumph, conceding seven goals in the process.
Joachim Löw could be tempted to change things up. Antonio Rüdiger and Karim Bellarabi are expected to keep their place in the side, while Julian Draxler is also pushing for a start. Christoph Kramer is outwith a stomach bug and coulde be replaced by Sebastian Rudi. The long term injured players are Reus, Ozil, Howedes and Schweinsteiger. The Republic are level on points with leaders Poland after winning their opening two qualifiers beating Georgia 2-1 before hammering Gibraltar 7-0 on Saturday. Martin O' Neil's men have drawn three of their last four away games in Italy, Poland and Costa Rica.
The only injuries we have for Republic of Ireland are Seamus Coleman and Richard Keogh. Stoke striker Jon Walters is set to return while Wes Hoolahan, Jeff Hendrick and James McClean could be out of the side while Stephen Quinn and Glenn Whelan could return. Daryl Murphy is doubtful.
Ireland have won five of fourteen previous matches against Germany through their history but are winless in their last five against them scoring just one on their last four competitive games against Die Mannschaft.
