DERBY COUNTY v LIVERPOOL BETTING PREVIEW

Derby County come into the game with just one win in their last five games with that coming over Carlisle United in the League Cup. In their last game, they drew 1-1 against Bristol City in the Championship, where the Rams sit just a point above the relegation zone as they only beat Preston thus far. The main problem so far for Derby has been their inability to score goals. The Rams have managed to bag just two goals so far in the Championship which is the lowest tally of any team in the league despite enjoying the attacking talents of Darren Bent and Scottish international Chris Martin.

Derby will be without defender Jason Shackell and Scottish striker Johnny Russell, who both miss the tie with calf injuries. Matej Vydra and Ikechi Anya, both on loan from Watford, are cup-tied having played earlier in the competition. Andreas Weimann returned to first-team action against Bristol City at the weekend and will be pushing for his first start of the season.

After an impressive 4-1 home win over Leicester, the Reds faced Chelsea and registered an impressive 1-2 win at the Stamford Bridge. They have also beaten Arsenal and have settled for a point against Tottenham in the Premier League. Their only slip was a surprising 2-0 defeat at Burnley few weeks ago. In the EFL Cup, Jurgen Klopp's men have recorded a 5-0 win against Burton in the second round of the competition.

Divock Origi is likely to get some gametime and it could be a chance to introduce new goalkeeper Loris Karius on his return from injury. Midfielder Emre Can could get a run out, having not featured because of an ankle problem sustained in the last round. Marko Grujic is likely to get his first start for the club while Alberto Moreno might get a chance to impress his manager.
