Charabao Cup Final betting preview
Chelsea will be looking to add more silverware to the trophy cabinet, after winning the Club World Cup in Dubai earlier this month. They arrive into this match on the back of a comfortable 2-0 win over Lille in the Champions League on Tuesday, having recorded a 1-0 away win at Crystal Palace in the Premier League last weekend. They are 13 points behind leaders Manchester City. The Blues have recorded four clean sheets in the last 6 outings and have only failed to score in one of their last 16 games, against Manchester City. Anyway, Thomas Tuchel is struggling to get the best out of record signing Romelu Lukaku, with the big Belgian dropped in midweek after touching the ball just seven times against Crystal Palace. The Londoners broke down Aston Villa (1-1 FT, 4-3 on penalties), Southampton (1-1 FT, 4-3 on penalties), Brentford (2-0) and Tottenham (2-0, 1-0) on their way to the League Cup final.
Liverpool enter this clash off the back of a thumping 6-0 midweek victory over Leeds, cutting Manchester City's lead to just three points. The Reds have lost once in 23 matches across all competitions and are on a run of nine successive wins, including a 2-0 away win at San Siro against Inter Milan in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 round. As to Carabao Cup, the Merseysiders have beaten Norwich (3-0), Preston (2-0), Leicester (3-3 FT, 5-4 on penalties) and Arsenal (0-0, 2-0) in the previous stages of the tournament. Both meetings against Chelsea this season have ended in stalemates, with a 1-1 draw at Anfield followed by a 2-2 thriller at Stamford Bridge with the Blues fighting back from 2-0 down.
Best Odds
Liverpool are slightly favourites to win in 90 minutes, with 10bet pricing the Reds 12/5 for a win in regular time. The Blues are backable at 12/5 with Parimatch to upset the Merseysiders. The draw is 23/10 with BetVictor.

Probable Line-Ups
Chelsea (3-4-2-1): Kepa; Christensen, Silva, Rudiger; Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Kante, Alonso; Mount, Pulisic; Havertz
Tuchel has confirmed Reece James, Hakim Ziyech and Mateo Kovacic are all fit. Anyway, James is unlikely to be thrown straight in. Mason Mount suffered ankle ligament damage in the Club World Cup Final earlier this month but the midfielder has already recovered. Up front, Kai Havertz could once again lead the line ahead of Romelu Lukaku while Christian Pulisic is expected to start as offensive midfielder. Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso are likely to start as wing backs.
Liverpool (4-3-3): Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Mane, Diaz
Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino remain two injury doubts after missing the last couple of Premier League games. Luis Diaz, a signing in the January transfer window, will likely start on the left with Sadio Mane playing centrally and Mo Salah on the right. Jordan Henderson should play from the off in the middle of the park, flanked by Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara, favourite over the youngsters Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott. At the back, keeper Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to start between the posts in place of Alisson, as he has during the entire cup run.
Carabao Cup Final Betting Tips
This match will be very tightly fought. Chelsea will put up a good fight, but we expect Liverpool to win by the narrowest margin. As to correct score, 0-1 and 1-2 are our suggested scorelines. Salah has scored in both league meetings against his former club this season and we back the Egyptian to score first at Wembley.
