- 5:15 pm: Leicester vs Manchester City
Leicester vs Manchester City Betting PreviewLeicester booked this shot for the Community Shield when securing a maiden FA Cup success over Chelsea (1-0) last May. The Foxes enter this clash on the back of a 3-3 pre-season draw against Championship side Queens Park Rangers. That match was Patson Daka's first appearance for the club since making a £23m move from Austrian Champions Red Bull Salzburg earlier this summer. The striker scored a goal and provided two assists on Saturday afternoon. Prior to the QPR match, Leicester recorded a goalless draw against Burton Albion on 24th July and were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Wycombe Wanderers on 28th July. In their most recent fiendly match, Brendan Rodgers' men beat La Liga side Villarreal 3-2 on 4th August.
- Despite facing a depleted Manchester City, Leicester are underdogs here, with Betfair pricing the Foxes to win at 29/10.
- The draw is also available at 23/8 with Grosvenor Sports.
- Manchester City backers can have 12/11 as best price with VBet.

Probable Line-UpsLeicester (4-2-3-1): Jakupovic; Bertrand, Amartey, Soyuncu, R.Pereira; Ndidi, Soumare; Daka, Tielemans, Barnes; Vardy
Brendan Rodgers will have majority of his first-team players available for this game, including new exciting signing Patson Daka. Goalkeeper Elding Jakupovic should start the match, with Denmark's Kasper Schmeichel still unavailable after a brilliant Euro 2020 campaign. Ryan Bertrand is expected to feature from the off in the four man backline, alongside Ricardo Pereira, Daniel Amartey and Caglar Soyuncu. Wesley Fofana was stretchered off with what appeared to be a serious leg injury during Wednesday's night preseason game against Villarreal. In midfield, Wilfried Ndidi should partner former Lille player Boubakary Soumare while the likes of Daka, Harvey Barnes and Youri Tielemans are expected to support Jamie Vardy up front. Timothy Castagne rejoined the group on Tuesday, but he is not yet in full training after undergoing surgery on a fractured eye socket over the summer. James Justin, Jonny Evans, and Papy Mendy are not 100% fit and will miss this match.
Manchester City (4-3-3): Steffen; Cancelo, Akè, Dias, Mendy; Fernandinho, Gundogan, Zinchenko; Palmer, Mahrez, Delap
Guardiola has declared he will have to “play with fringe players” due to star names returning late from international duty. From Raheem Sterling to Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Phil Foden, Rodri, Gabriel Jesus and Kyle Walker, most of the players who featured in either EURO or Copa America are expected to skip this clash. Plus, City have failed to sign a replacement for Sergio Aguero so far, despite being closely linked with top players such as Erling Haaland and Harry Kane. 26-year-old Zack Steffen can start between the posts in the absence of Ederson while Riyad Mahrez will be the only senior player up front. Youngsters like Cole Palmer, Ben Knight, Liam Delap and Luke Mbete are also in line to play at some stage.
Our Leicester vs Manchester City Predictions
Manchester City have won 6 of their last 7 matches against Leicester in all competitions. The Reds have won the last two meetings by a 7-0 aggregate scoreline, including a 3-0 triumph in the reverse. Anyway, this time it could be different. We expect Leicester to frustrate the Merseysiders and a Home/Draw double chance should not let us down.
