CELTIC v BARCELONA BETTING PREVIEW
Celtic currently sit at the bottom of the Group C table with 2 points, courtesy of 3:3 home draw against Manchester City and a 1:1 away draw against Borussia M.Gladbach. The Bhoys lost the other two matches - 1:2 at home to Gladbach and 7-0 away at the hands of Barcelona. They are unbeaten in their last six matches with 5 wins and 1 draw and are flying in Scotland, with a ten point lead at the top of the Premiership. Barcelona haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their last five competitive away games, which should give Brendan Rodgers some confidence ahead of this clash.Brendan Rodgers has no new injury concerns heading into mid-week. Kris Commons is back in training having been out injured for six months but he is well short of match fitness and will not play. Young full-back Kieran Tierney is a long term absentee due to a knee injury whilst Dedryck Boyata is expected to retain his place at the back.
Barcelona collected three wins from the first three Champions League fixtures and top the group with 9 points. The Blaugrana were beaten 3-1 by Manchester City on matchday 4 and are not firing all their cylinders. They have made their worst start in La Liga for a decade, with the weekend 0-0 draw with Malaga allowing Real Madrid to go four points clear at the top of the table.
Lionel Messi missed Barca's most recent fixture in La Liga due to sickness but has returned to training and will start the match as well as Luis Suarez who was suspended against Malaga. Denis Suarez is expected to partner Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic in Barcelona’s midfield three. Andres Iniesta (knee) and Samuel Umitti (hamstring) will both miss out for the Catalans.
