Young full-back Kieran Tierney is a long term absentee due to a knee injury whilst Dedryck Boyata is expected to retain his place at the back.

Lionel Messi missed Barca's most recent fixture in La Liga due to sickness but has returned to training and will start the match as well as Luis Suarez who was suspended against Malaga. Denis Suarez is expected to partner Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic in Barcelona’s midfield three. Andres Iniesta (knee) and Samuel Umitti (hamstring) will both miss out for the Catalans.
