BARCELONA v CELTIC BETTING PREVIEWBarcelona haven’t played a game since the Copa Del Rey win over Sevilla back in May and need to quickly prepare for the European Super Cup against Sevilla in a few weeks. The Blaugrana have been impressively strengthened by the additions of Lucas Digne, Denis Suarez, Samuel Umtiti and Andre Gomes this summer while Marc Bartra and Dani Alves left the club.
Luis Enrique has not taken his strongest squad with him for the ICC tour, but they do have Luis Suarez there as well as Messi. The likes of Neymar and Rafinha are away with Brazil at the Olympic Games while Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti, Lucas Digne, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Andre Gomes, Thomas Vermaelen and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are all still holiday after their Euro 2016 fatigues. Jeremy Mathieu and Martin Montoya are both doubtful through injury.
Celtic enter this match off the back of a 1-1 draw away against Astana in the 1st leg of their third round Champions League qualification tie on Wednesday. It was a poor performace for the Hoops, given that they rescued a 1-1 draw out of nowhere from Leigh Griffiths netting an equaliser with their first shot on target just before the 80th minute mark. Prior to that match, Celtic lost on a penalty shoot out against Leicester after a 1-1 draw in a ICC 2016 friendly match. In the 2nd round of the UCL qualifiers, they knocked out Gibraltar's Lincoln Red Imps depiste a 1-0 defeat in the away match.
The Bhoys need to avoid injuries and youngsters like Amstrong and O’Connell set to start on Saturday evening. Leigh Griffiths and Patrick Roberts are likley to start up front but the will not play all the game. New signings Dembele and veteran center-back Kolo Toure are expected to miss out.
