WALES v MOLDOVA BETTING PREVIEW
Wales were defeated by Portugal in the Semi-finals of the European Championships in France in their first ever appearance at a major tournament. An opening 2-1 victory over Slovakia was followed by a narrow 2-1 defeat by England and a 3-0 win over Russia. In the knockout stage, the Dragons saw off Northern Ireland (1:0) and Belgium (3:1) before to lose to eventual winners Portugal. However, Chris Coleman’s side have a mixed record in recent international football, as they have won just four of their last ten outings.Chris Coleman is without influential midfielder Aaron Ramsey through injury, while Crystal Palace midfielder Jonathan Williams has been omitted from the squad and midfielder David Vaughan has retired from international duty. Chris Gunter, Joe Ledley and Joe Allen will start in the middle of the park while Hal Robson-Kanu, Gareth Bale and Sam Vokes are expected to sperhead the attack.
Moldova failed to register a single win during the qualification phase of the Euro 2016. Since then they have played five friendlies and recorded only one win, a 1-0 success over minnows Andorra away from home. Most recently, Moldova lost to both Croatia and Switzerland.
Manager Igor Dobrovolski has a fully-fit squad to choose from. He will be relying on Moldovan footballer of the year Alexandru Gatcan and Cagliari's midfielder Artur Ionita to make the difference from midfield. Radu Ginsari is likely to be the lone forward in a 4-5-1 formation.
