Tottenhams season has been something of a rollercoaster so far

Tottenham have won seven of their nine Premier League games this term and have made their best-ever start to a Premier League campaign in terms of points accrued. They have been tough to break down domestically, conceding just once across four matches so far. Spurs have lost just two of their past 21 Premier League matches at Wembley - the venue is clearly becoming a fortress. They enter this match on the back of another disappointing result in Champions League - after three group matches Pochettino's men have collected just a point after the 2-2 draw at PSV last Wednesday.

Son Heung-min was given the nod against PSV and should make room to accomodate Erik Lamela in the starting XI. Christian Eriksen and Lucas Moura are expected to retain their berth behind the lone striker Harry Kane. In midfield, Harry Winks could be preferred to the ageing Mousa Dembele in the double-pivot, though Moussa Sissoko is pushing for a start. Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld should be the central pair at the back, with Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies on their flanks. Jan Vertonghen is our until December with a hamstring issue, while Dele Alli and Danny Rose are closing in on a return to fitness.

Man City have won each of their last four trips to London

Manchester City are yet to lose in the Premier League this season. Actually, they are unbeaten in 15 straight Premier League matches, conceding just six goals across that span. The Citizens have only shown weaknesses at times when they were hold to draws with both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool on the road and having been beaten by Lyon at home in the Champions League. Pep Guardiola's boys boast a very strong record against Tottenham having won 10 of their last 15 direct encounters. Last season's match at Wembley Stadium finished in a 3-1 win for City in April while while the reverse game at the Etihad Stadium finished in a 4-1 victory for the Citizens.

Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho and David Silva are likely to start in midfield since Kevin De Bruyne is still building his match fitness. Guardiola left Sergio Aguero on the bench for that latest Champions League match so we expect the Argentine to spearhead the attack. Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez are the favourite duo to start out wide, with Leroy Sanè viable alternative. Kyle Walker will be pushing for a recall at right-back after recovering from a groin problem. The England international should complete the four man backline alongside John Stones, Aymeric Laport and Benjamin Mendy. The likes of Eliaquim Mangala, Claudio Bravo, Ilkay Gundogan and Danilo are all ruled out.
