TOTTENHAM v FIORENTINA BETTING PREVIEW

Spurs hold a slender advantage coming into the second leg meeting as they recorded a 1-1 draw in Florence despite Pochettino fielded a very weakened side. Another mixture of first-teamers and fringe players lost against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup on Sunday. In both the first leg and the FA Cup defeat, Spurs clearly outplayed their opponent in the first half but faded badly in the second.

Harry Kane has been ruled out with a broken nose and Nacer Chadli or Heung-min Son will deputise up front. Mousa Dembele is unlikely to be risked against the Italians after picking up a groin injury but Tom Carroll will be in contention if he recovers from a cut to his Achilles. Hugo Lloris may start on the bench, though Erik Lamela is fit again and could start.

Fiorentina extended their unbeaten Serie A run to six games with a 3-2 win at Atalanta to hold on to third place and stay six points behind leaders Juventus. The Viola are now unbeaten in their last seven in all competitions and unbeaten in their last five matches against Premier League teams. Of course it was Fiorentina who knocked Spurs out of this competition last season and the corresponding fixture at White Hart Lane finished 1-1, before a 2-0 win for La Viola in Italy.

The Viola are likely to name a similar starting XI to the one that lined up against Spurs last week. Yohan Benalouane is one of Paulo Sousa's three absentee for the trip to Spurs. Tino Costa, who played 66 minutes of the first leg, is out of the return leg, while reserve goalkeeper Sepe has been dropped. Nikola Kalinic will be pushing for a start ahead of Mauro Zarate.
