REAL MADRID v MANCHESTER UTD BETTING PREVIEWReal Madrid enter this match on the back of a poor pre-season. With no wins in pre-season so far, they have been a little sloppy in terms of conceding goals and have struggled to offer up a complete performance. Zinedine Zidane's men lost 3-2 to bitter rivals Barcelona and were thrashed 4-1 by United’s rivals Manchester City. Furthermore, they met Manchester UTD in an International Champions Cup friendly last month. That game, which took place in California last month, finished 1-1, but the Red Devils emerged victorious on penalties after outplaying the Blancos in the 90 minutes.
Cristiano Ronaldo will surely be short of fitness after sitting out the whole American tournee, while Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema failed to get on the scoresheet. The Welshman is not 100% fit and could be replaced by Isco up front. Dani Ceballos, who arrived from Real Betis during the summer, is also vying for a starting position in midfield. French defender Theo Hernandez, who arrived at the Blancos from Atletico Madrid, is also expected to start. He should form the four man backline with Sergio Ramos, Nacho and Dani Carvajal.
Manchester UTD enjoyed a successful Tour 2017 in USA, winning six of their seven matches. The Red Devils kicked off with a 5-2 win over LA Galaxy, beat Real Salt Lake 2-1, won the derby against Manchester City 2-0 and beat Real Madrid on penalties following a 1-1 draw, before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Barcelona. Since then, Man UTD crushed Valerenga 3-0 and beaten Sampdoria 2-1 few days ago, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata scoring the goals. After this clash, they will welcome West Ham at Old Trafford in the Premier League opening matchweek.
Jose Mourinho will be without Eric Bailly through suspension, while Phil Jones is also set to miss out after falling foul of UEFA's anti-doping regulations. New signing Nemanja Matic made a surprise appearance for the Red Devils in their last outing against Sampdoria and is expected to start in the middle of the park alongside Ander Herrera. Paul Pogba is likely to play as 'number ten' behind the lone striker Romelu Lukaku. Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mhkitaryan should be the offensive wingers. Long-term absentees Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young are not going to be involved.
