AC MILAN vs ROMA BETTING PREVIEW 

AC Milan suffered a second Serie A defeat of the season, as they fell to a 2-0 loss at Sampdoria last weekend. They returned to winning ways in midweek by beating Rijeka 3-2 in Europa League but their performance was not impressive as the Rossoneri needed a last-gasp goal scored by the youngster Patrik Cutrone to get all three points.

Right-back Andrea Conti is unavailable through a knee injury and that hosts will most likely have to do without Luca Antonelli, Davide Calabria and Riccardo Montolivo. Up front, altough André Silva and Patrick Cutrone are in great form, Nikola Kalinic is expected to play as lone striker, with Giacomo Bonaventura and Suso behind him in a 3-4-2-1 formation. At the back, Mateo Musacchio, Leandro Romagnoli and Leonardo Bonucci will feature from the off, while Ignazio Abate and Ricardo Rodriguez will play as wing backs. The likes of Lucas Biglia and Franck Kessie are expected to start in the middle of the park.



Roma enter this match on the back three straight victories in Serie A and a pivotal Champions League success in a long trip to Azerbaijan where they beat Qarabag 2-1. Last weekend, the Giallorossi comfortably beat Udinese 3-1 at the Olimpico and now sit 5th in the table standings, level on point with AC Milan, with one game in hand. Eusebio Di Francesco's men have won their last 9 away matches in Serie A and their last three direct encounters against AC Milan.

Di Francesco is short of options up front as Gregoire Defrel limped off in the midweek fixture at Qarabag, Patrik Schick is sidelined and Diego Perotti is a doubt. The former Sassuolo manager will move Alessadro Florenzi in the offensive midfielders - alongside Stephan El Shaarawy - behind the lone striker Edin Dzeko and will be hopeful Emerson will be able to shake off his problem in time for the game. In midfield, Daniele De Rossi and Maxime Gonalons are in contention for a starting berth while Bruno Peres, Kostas Manolas, Federico Fazio and Aleksandar Kolarov are expected to start in defense.
