Liverpool haven't dropped a point in the Premier League this season but defensive cracks are beginning to show

Joel Matip sufferd an injury in midweek but could return for this clash. Naby Keita came on as a very late sub against Salzburg and may be hopeful of starting alongside Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, although Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Georgino Wijnaldum remain viable alternatives. No changes are expected up front where Roberto Firmino, Sadio Manè and Mo Salah will feature from the off, neither in defense with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson retaining their starting berth as full backs.

Leicester (W4 D2 L1) have been the surprise package of the Premier League so far with 14 points through seven matches, losing only to Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford. The Foxes enter this clash back-to-back victories including a 5-0 trashing of Newcastle at home last Sunday. They sit third in the top-flight table, two points below 2nd placed Manchester City. Away form remain a concern as Brendan Rodgers' men have only won one of the last 5 matches on the travel. They have not kept a clean sheet away from the King Power Stadium since a 1-0 at Goodison Park on New Year’s Day. Leicester did manage to come away with a 1-1 draw from the corresponding fixture in January, though, ending a run of three successive league defeats at the hands of the Reds.

James Maddison, who earned a recall to the England national squad during next week's international window, is available for selection. He may well be fielded on the left flank as his manager has often plumped for a defensive midfield double-up of Hamza Choudhury and Wilfried Ndidi alongside Youri Tielemans in games of this magnitude. As a result, Ayoze Perez could be benched. Demarai Gray and Marc Albrighton are alternatives to Harvey Barnes on the wing. The back four will remain unchanges as it looks settled after their clean sheet against the Magpies.
