LEEDS v MIDDLESBROUGH BETTING PREVIEW
Leeds enter this match on the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest last weekend and this means that their prior 1-0 victory against Bristol City is the only Championship win for the Whites in 2016. They have won just 1 of their last 8 and currently sit 16th in the Championship with 36 points thanks to a record of eight wins and 12 draws. They are 10 points clear of the drop zone so they are well aware they cannot afford to go on a lengthy losing streak.Toumani Diagouraga is expected start, while Chris Wood is a doubt and that could see Mirko Antenucci start the match up front with Souleymane Doukara behind the Italian striker. Alex Mowatt could play at some stage after featuring for the U21 side against Sheffield United recently. Midfielder Luke Murphy and defender Sol Bamba are in contention for a return.
After claiming a 1-0 win at Brentford during mid-January, Middlesbrough have earned just two points in the league. They come into this clash on the back of 1-1 draw away at MK Dons with new signing Jordan Rhodes scoring his first goal for the club in the third minute of stoppage time. Boro have failed to win a game in their four attempts but they still were leaders of the Championship before the weekend.
Creative Uruguayan Gaston Ramirez recently joined on loan from Premier League Southampton but he is likely to benched. Gibson and Kalas will likely start at centre back and with Nsue and new arrival de Laet on the flanks. Defender Daniel Ayala could return after recovering from an ankle injury.
Aitor Karanka’s side beat Leeds 3-0 at the Riverside at the start of the season but Leeds have won their last three home fixtures in a row against Boro. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Middlesbrough's last 7 Championship games.
