INTER MILAN v LAZIO BETTING PREVIEW
Inter enter this match on the back of a comfortable 3-0 win over Pescara at the weekend. They are in the amazing streak of nine consecutive victories in all competitions and have climbed to 4th position in the Serie A standings. Furthermore, the Nerazzurri have won eight of their 11 league outings at home while losing just once. They have bagged 13 goals in their last five home matches and their defense has been very solid in recent times.
Jeison Murillo is has recovered from a bout of flu and he is expected to partner Gary Medel as central back with Joao Miranda likely to be rested. Cristian Ansaldi is available after serving a one-match ban. In midfield, Geoffrey Kondogbia looks sure to start while Roberto Gagliardini and Marcelo Brozovic are in contention for the remaining spot. Up front, Ever Banega will start as number ten while Gabriel Barbosa 'Gabigol' and Eder are expected to play as wingers. Lazio suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to a mid-table Chievo last Saturday despite they dominated the pitch from the very first whistle. Prior to that, the Biancocelesti have suffered another league defeat at the hands of Juventus. Simone Inzaghi’s men have earned just two wins in their last six away matches. They also lost the direct match 3-0 when these two clubs met in late December.
Manager Simone Inzaghi is likely to make changes to his starting XI, bringing in Jordan Lukaku in defense, Filip Djordjevic and Cristiano Lombardi in attack. Ciro Immobile has served his one match ban but he is expected to be rested as the Serie A campaign is clearly the priority at the moment. Goalkeeper Federico Marchetti is out through injury and will be replaced by Thomas Strakosha. Keita Balde continues to miss out, but Ricardo Kishna has recovered from injury and he is in contention.
