Germany are locked in a tight battle for Euro 2016 qualification along with Poland, who beat them in Warsaw last October, as well as Scotland and Ireland who have also proved frustrating opponents. They’ve been held at home by Ireland and Australia in the last few months and lost to Argentina, though a Toni Kroos' goal gave them an unexpected away victory against Spain back in November. Corach Joachim Low will be without defenders Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng for this clash. Manuel Neuer, Benedikt Howedes, Toni Kroos and Marco Reus have been given the end of season off. There could be a debut for Borussia M'Gladbach midfielder Patrick Herrmann, while others who could play at some stage include defenders Antonio Rudiger and Jonas Hector. Captain Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski could all be in action this time.

USA came from two down with 20 minutes remaining to beat the Netherlands 4-3 on Friday when Bobby Wood, Gyasi Zardes and Reading’s Danny Williams all scored their first international. They will look for another notable scalp against the Mannschaft before another friendly back home against Guatemala ahead of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Jurgen Klinsmann is unlikely to make too many changes to his side. Jozy Altidore and Alejandro Bedoja remain on the sidelines, but Clint Dempsey will be available for this clash. DeAndre Yedlin expected to start while Agudelo and Zardes will lead the line.

These two sides last met at the 2014 World Cup, when Germany recorded a 1-0 win courtesy of Thomas Muller's goal - a result which proved enough for both teams to advance from Group G.
