England come into the game on the back of a 25-20 defeat at the hands of France. It was their worst performances under Lancaster, and despite the late fightback, was much more one-sided than the final scoreline suggested. Prior to that match, England beat France on home soil, with two tries from Anthony Watson and one from Jonny May securing a 19-14 victory last month.

Stuart Lancaster has made five changes ahead of this weekend, with the now-departed Luther Burrell replaced at inside centre by defensive captain Brad Barritt. Elsewhere, lock Geoff Parling and Northampton back-row forward Tom Wood replace Joe Launchbury and James Haskell.

Ireland were mesmerising in their first warm up win against Wales as they recorded a 35-21 victory at the Millennium Stadium. Anyway, a scrappy win over Scotland before a defeat at the hands of Wales at the Aviva Stadium has curbed enthusiasm.

The Ireland team to play England shows seven personnel changes from the 16-10 defeat to Wales, with Simon Zebo, Tommy Bowe and Jared Payne returning to the back-line and Rory Best, Mike Ross, Devin Toner and Sean O'Brien all restored up front. Conor Murray and Jonathan Sexton are retained at half-back while the back-three is made up of Zebo at full-back and Bowe and Dave Kearney on the wings.

Ireland have beaten England at Twickenham on 13 occasions. However, the last of those was in 2010, and England were unbeaten in four tests against Ireland home and away prior to the 9-19 defeat at the Aviva Stadium earlier this year. It could be a low-scoring affair as none of the last 8 tests between the two have exceeded 40 points.
