Crystal Palace are undefeated in their last 13 games in all competitions

Crystal Palace overcame newly promoted Fulham with a 2-0 win at Craven Cottage last weekend. Palace finished last season in excellent form at home, winning each of their last three games at Selhurst Park (against Brighton, Leicester and West Brom), with Liverpool being the last team to win there. Actually, the Eagles are winless in their last two competitive games against Liverpool - losing 2-1 and 1-0 in the league last season. Against the top six last season, Palace suffered four defeats, drew 0-0 with Man City and beat Chelsea 2-1. Furthermore, they have now failed to score in only two of their last 18 league outings

Hodgson will be tempted to stick with the same 11 that won him all three points at Craven Cottage, but Cheikhou Kouyate could be introduced alongside Luka Milivojevic to add steel to the central midfield, with James McArthur moving out to the flank and Andros Townsend or Jeffrey Schlup making room. Recent captures Max Meyer and Jordan Ayew are still lacking match fitness and will sit on bench at maximum. As a result, Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke will lead the line. Scott Dann is still ruled out for the Eagles, while Connor Wickham and Jonathan Williams may also miss out once again.

Jurgen Klopp may decide to remain unchanged for this clash. As a result, the likes of Naby Keita, James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum should retain their starting berth in the centre of the park, with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson viable alternatives. Ragnar Klavan is a major doubt, Dejan Lovren has been ruled out for several weeks and joined Joel Matip on the sidelines. Joe Gomez will partner Virgil Van Dijk as centre back, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson as full backs. Changes appear unlikely up front, with Sadio Manè, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino forming the attacking trio.
