The likes of Jota, Jacques Maghoma and Che Adams were all rested in midweek against Reading and they are all expected to return to the starting XI here. David Stockdale is injured for Birmingham, so academy graduate Connal Trueman is in contention with new signing Lee Camp to start between the sticks. Craig Gardner is suspended while David Davis is out through injury.
Joel Asoro and Barrie McKay should flank Oliver McBurnie in the front trio as Wilfried Bony (cruciate) is out for a few months. Left-back Declan John is back in full training after missing last weekend's match. Goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt is also unavailable and so Erwin Mulder will pick up the gloves, while inexperienced 20-year-old centre-half Joe Rodon should continue alongside Mike van der Hoorn.

Birmingham v Swansea betting preview
Two defeats and a draw for Birmingham so far
Birmingham have earned just a single point in their opening 2 matches -courtesy of a home draw against Norwich (2-2) and a narrow defeat to Middlesbrough (1-0) - and were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Reading (2-0) in midweek. They have failed to score in the last two matches and already conceded five goals in three games but at St Andrew’s, they are unbeaten in six (when combining with last season) and they have won four of these. The likes of Jota, Jacques Maghoma and Che Adams were all rested in midweek against Reading and they are all expected to return to the starting XI here. Swansea have made a good start in their bid to return to Premier League
Despite a somewhat underwhelming pre-season, the recently-relegated Swansea recorded to back-to-back wins in the Championship over Sheffield UTD (2-1 away) on the opening round and over Preston (1-0 at home). The 2 victories may only be with 1 goal each but they were against two of the strong sides last season. The Welsh outfit will be looking to get another victory ahead of their next meeting with Leeds.Joel Asoro and Barrie McKay should flank Oliver McBurnie in the front trio as Wilfried Bony (cruciate) is out for a few months.
