WEST HAM vs LEICESTER BETTING PREVIEW
West Ham fell to a 2-0 defeat at Watford last weekend in David Moyes' first game in charge of the Hammers and remain 18th in the Premier League standings with no wins since September. They have conceded a staggering 25 goals in 12 games – the worst defensive record in the Premier League. Furthermore, after moving from Upton Park to the London Stadium, their home record is still a concern having only won two of the first 5 outings in front of the home fans so far.
Marko Arnautovic is a doubt having been forced off in the 2-0 loss to Watford last time out and could be replaced by Andrè Ayew. the likes of Andy Carroll and Manuel Lanzini are likely to complete the front trio given that Chicharito Hernandez is expected to miss out and Michail Antonio is also doubtful. Diafra Sakho is the main alternative up front. At the back, Sam Bryam is not expected back before December and Jose Fonte faces a further two months out. In midfield, Mark Noble will be probably flanked by Pedro Obiang and Cheikh Kouyatè.
Leicester have won one, drawn one and lost one since Claude Puel's appointment and sit 12th in the league table, 4 points above West Ham. The Foxes fell to a first defeat in six at the hands of Man City last Saturday, but are unbeaten in their last four games on the road, drawing three of them. Their only away defeats this season cam against Arsenal – in a seven goal thriller – and Manchester United. Leicester did the double over the Hammers last term, winning 1-0 at the King Power and bagging a 3-2 win at the London Stadium in an entertaining clash in March 2017.
Claude Puel has no fresh injury concerns, with Robert Huth and Matty James the only sidelined players. He could name the same XI that started the Manchester City game, meaning that Riyad Mahrez will be tucked behind the lone striker Jamie Vardy, with Demaray Gray and Marc Albrighton out wide. Anyway, Shinji Okazaki provide a further option for the number ten role, should Mahrez play as winger. Kasper Schmeichel will start between the sticks, while Danny Simpson, Wes Morgan, Harry Maguire and Christian Fuchs will form the four man backline.
