TOUR DE FRANCE STAGE 7 BETTING PREVIEW
In Stage 6, Marcel Kittel outsprinted Arnaud Demare and Andre Greipel by aa bike lenght. In the technical finale the trains disappeaedr and once again we saw a disorganised bunch finish. Now chances are it will be up to the fast men in Tour de France’s stage 7. The route is mostly flat with a rolling section in the middle section. The most prominent climb is the Côte d’Urcy – 2.5 kilometres at 4.2% -, which is crested with 66 kilometres remaining. The terrain suggests the classic Tour stage with a break away followed a bunch sprint. It is perfectly suited for a revenge between the sprinters, frustrated by the outcome of the previous day. After Thursday's success, Marcel Kittel is the odds-on favourite to secure his third success at this year's edition. In stage 7 he did a lot of the work himself and trusted his ability to win out.
Arnaud Demare finished runner-up to Kittel on Stage 6 but won the intermediate sprint and kept his green jersey. However the Frenchman did not looked fast enough to hold off Kittel.
Andre Greipel grabbed another podium place (3rd) on stage 6. He is quick and can potentiaally count on the best lead out. Anyway, he can't match Kittel's speed at the moment. Greipel will need to anticipate his rivals or change his strategy.
Dylan Groenewegen finished 6th on Thursday, confirming his unexperience in Grand Tour Sprints while Nacer Bouhanni is rapidly improving his forms as he finished 5th in Troyes.
Michael Matthews secured another top 10 placement on stage 6 (7th) and we don't expect him to be a podium candidate, as well as Sonny Colbrelli, who got bumped at the last major turn last time out and lost about 25 places.
Peter Sagan and Mark Cavendish are out of the race while Ben Swift and John Degenkolb are both slightly injured and are expected miss the final sprint as they are still licking their wounds.
Daniel McLay and Mark Renshaw could be the dark horses of this stage. Few cahnces for Rudiger Selig, Matteo Trentin, Adrien Petit and Stephen Cummings.
