TOTTENHAM v WEST HAM BETTING PREVIEW
Tottenham enter this clash on the back of their best performance of the season so far - a 4:1 hammering of Liverpool on Sunday. Spurs have recorded eight wins and no defeats in the last 11 fixtures in all competitions. They are 2nd in the Premier League standings, level on points with Man UTD and 5 points below Manchester City. This run include an impressive draw away to Real Madrid, a convincing win over Borussia Dortmund, as well as a 3-2 away victory over West Ham on 23rd September.
Harry Kane was forced off late on against Liverpool and will not be risked by Pochettino. As a result Son Heung-Min and Fernando Llorente are in contention for the lone striker berth while Moussa Sissoko will join Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen in offensive midfield positions. Victor Wanyama is ruled out, while Mousa Dembele is struggling with a hip problem and this could see Harry Winks partner Eric Dier in midfield once again. In defense, Danny Rose could start at left-back and complete the four man backline with Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Kieran Trippier.
West Ham were abject when losing 3-0 at home to Brighton, meaning they have collected only 8 points from their first 9 league fixtures and stay above the relegation zone by virtue of a superior goal difference. Reports have suggested Bilic has two matches to save his job, although clearly the more influential one will be Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace. The Hammers' lone away win in all competitions this season came in their previous Carabao Cup match against Cheltenham Town.
Andy Carroll served his one match ban at the weekend and is set to start up front, supported by Andrè Ayew, Manuel Lanzini and Marko Aranutovic. Diafra Sakho and James Collins are doubts and may not be risked while Angelo Ogbonna, Adrian and Declan Rice could all come into the starting XI here. Michael Antonio and Chicharito Hernandez could play at some stage during the 2nd half.
