TOTTENHAM v BOURNEMOUTH BETTING PREVIEW
Tottenham have been on a tremendous run of form in recent weeks - including that 4-0 thrashing of Watford last time out. They have won their last 11 home matches, scoring at least 2 goals in 10 of these games. Spurs, who boast the best defensive record in the Premier League, are unbeaten at White Hart Lane in the top-flight – winning 14 and drawing two this season. As to direct matches with Bournemouth, Pochettino's men scored eight goals when completing the double against the Cherries last year. Anyway, the reverse match at Vitality Stadium earlier this season ended in a goalless draw. The expected return of Harry Kane on Saturday will be a huge boost. The English international should replace Heung Son Min up front, while Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen will retain their berth as offensive midfielders. Anyway, Pochettino could favour a 4-2-3-1 in order to accommodate the South Korean with Eric Dier likely to make way. Victor Wanyama will be also available after missing the last two matches with a back injury. Kyle Walker should return at either right wing-back or right-back, with Ben Davies set to keep his place on the opposite flank. Erik Lamela, Danny Rose and Harry Winks are ruled out.
Bournemouth picked up eight points in the last four games, after going through a real sticky patch at the turn of the year in which they lost 6 out of 7 fixtures. The Cherries have recorded some fine results over the past few weeks – drawing at Manchester United, Liverpool and Swansea City while beating West Ham United and Swansea City at home. They caused Chelsea problems last weekend but they lost 3-1 at home and their away form is not strong. They are on a six-match winless run away from home in England's top tier, and only Hull and Swansea have conceded more away Premier League goals than Eddie Howe's men this term.
Eddie Howe is likely to be without Dan Gosling but Junior Stanislas is likely to be involved in the squad. Harry Arter and Jack Wilshere look set to continue in central midfield, then, with Ryan Fraser and Marc Pugh the likely starters out wide. Tyrone Mings is available again in defense following suspension but the backline fomed by Adam Smith, Simon Francis, Steve Cook and Charlie Daniels is expected to stay unchanged. The likes of Joshua King and Benik Afobe look set to keep their places as the front two.
