RANGERS v CELTIC BETTING PREVIEW
Rangers have already secured the Scottish Challenge Cup and the Scottish Championship so far. They are 14 points clear at the top of the table and so second-placed Falkirk can no longer catch them. They have been beaten just once in their last 15 league games. The Gers have racked up no fewer than 83 goals in just 32 Championship matches this term. In the Scottish FA Cup, they overcame Dundee 4-0 in the quarter-final while Celtic defeated Greenock Morton 3-0 to set up the all Glasgow semi-final.
With playmaker Harry Forrester injured, top scorer Waghorn still struggling for fitness and wingers Billy King and Michael O’Halloran cup-tied, Gers will have to pin their goals hopes on 36-year-old Kenny Miller, who has netted 46 goals in all competitions so far.
Celtic have all but wrapped up yet another Scottish Premiership title. They are eight points clear in the Premiership with five games left. The Bhoys have had engaged in another disastrous European campaign and blown another unique chance at a domestic treble by losing 3-1 to Ross County in the League Cup semi-final. Anyway, Celtic reached the FA Cup final by seeing off Greenock Morton 3-0.
Erik Sviatchenko is likely to miss the game with thigh problems while Jozo Simunovic has been out for quite a while now. Charlie Mulgrew will be partnered by Dedryck Boyata at the heart of the defense. On-loan Manchester City winger Roberts is likely to start on the right flank while Leigh Griffiths is expected to lead the attack for the Hoops.
The last time these two met was in the League Cup last season where Celtic ran out 2-0 winners. Goals from Leigh Griffiths and Kris Commons inside the first 30 minutes had the Hoops on easy street but this could be a tighter affair.
