Inter Milan vs Barcelona Betting Preview
Inter Milan are completely (and forcibly) focused on the Champions League. The Nerazzurri, in fact, experienced a disastrous week at the end of April as they were eliminated from the Coppa Italia (0-3 against Milan in the second leg of the semi-final) and slipped to -3 from Napoli in the Serie A standings after back to back 1-0 defeats against Bologna and Roma. The team, however, reacted very well: Inter put Barcelona in trouble at Montjuic and came very close to win the 1st leg - Henrikh Mkhitaryan's 4-3 goal was disallowed for an offside of a few centimeters. Last Saturday, the Nerazzurri's fringe players won 1-0 at home against Verona, thanks to a penalty scored by Kristjan Asllani.
Barcelona, as well as Inter, gave all the regular starters a breather over the weekend. In addition to the match against Inter, in fact, the Blaugrana were returning from the 120 minutes of the Copa del Rey final played, and won 3-2, against Real Madrid. The turn-over also put Hansi Flick's team in difficulty: down 1-0 against Valladolid (rock bottom in LaLiga table), the Blaugrana overturned it in the second half after the starters came on (Lamine Yamal had already entered in the first half to replace an injured player). Barça has thus maintained the +3 gap in the La Liga standings over Real Madrid and remains the only team in Europe still in the running for the "Treble".

Online bookies are showing favouritism to Barcelona, who are currently around 13/10 (2.30), as they have lost just once in the last 30 outings in all competitions. The home side Inter Milan are best priced at around 19/10 (2.90) to pick up a victory, while a draw pays at around 29/10 (or 3.94 with non-UK bookmakers).
Probable Line-Ups
Inter Milan (3-5-2): Sommer, Bastoni, Acerbi, Bisseck; Dimarco, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dumfries, Thuram, Lautaro (Taremi).
Almost done formation for Inzaghi, who rested almost all the starters over the weekend. The "almost" is due to the physical conditions of Benjamin Pavard (sprained ankle) and Lautaro Martinez. The captain could dispose of the elongation in the flexors of his left thigh in time to be able to feature from the off at San Siro or during the second half (in which case it would be Taremi to pair up with Thuram). For the rest, Simone Inzaghi will keep faith in his regular starters.

Even at Barcelona there is nothing but talk of an important return. The striker Robert Lewandowski could be thrown into the fray after a few weeks of absence due to injury. In that case he would take the place of Ferran Torres, while the trio of attacking midfielders formed by Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Dani Olmo should be confirmed (the only possible change could concern Fermin Lopez in place of Dani Olmo). No change in midfield with Pedri and De Jong immovable. In defense, Jules Koundé's absence due to injury will force Flick to move Inigo Martinez to the full-back position and insert Ronald Araujo as centre-back next to Pau Cubarsì. On the other side, starting left-back Alex Balde should not recover in time.
Inter Milan vs Barcelona Betting Tips
We expect a very similar match to last week. Barcelona will try to attack high, but will inevitably leave space for Inter counterattacks.
With a little more quality, the home factor and home crowd behind them, Inter Milan can really play for qualification with the Blaugrana on an equal footing. Barça had serious problems in the last away match of the Champions League, losing 3-1 in Dortmund (but had won 4-0 in the first leg). In addition, they conceded 4 goals against Benfica, two against Monaco and Red Star Belgrade in the group stage.
It is therefore reasonable to expect a match in which both teams will have many scoring opportunities. As a result, the Both Teams To Score option sounds appealing.
As for the match result, it could still be tied at the end of regular time (which would lead the teams to extra time and, possibly, penalties).
2-2 is our pick in the Correct Score market while Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries are our choices as players with 1+ shots on target. The Frenchman could profit from spaces left by Barça while the Dutch defender is unstoppable on set pieces (and he scored twice on corners in the first leg).
