Arsenal vs PSG Betting Preview
Arsenal remain unbeaten at the start of the new season having won four and draw two matches in Premier League so far. The Gunners enter this clash on the back of a 4-2 home victory over Leicester. Prior to that, they managed to draw against Manchester City (2-2) at Etihad. As for the Champions League, Mikel Arteta had David Raya to thank for his incredible double save from a penalty that helped them to a 0-0 draw away at Atalanta in their first European game. At Emirates, Arsenal have also defeated Wolves (2-0), Bolton (5-1 in the EFL Cup) and drawn 1-1 against Brighton in a match that was marked by a ridicolous red card to Declan Rice.
PSG arrive at the Emirates in great form, unbeaten in the league. The 3-1 victory over Rennes was their fifth in six Ligue 1 matchweeks and their fourth at home in four outings at Parc Des Princes. Anyway, Luis Enrique's men only scraped by Girona in their Champions League opener thanks to a late own goal from former Tottenham goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, who allowed Nuno Mendes' effort to squeeze through his legs in the final minute of normal time. Away from Parc Des Princes, Les Parisiens have recorded two wins (4-1 at Le Havre e 3-1 at Lille) and one draw (1-1 at Reims) so far this season.
Best Odds
Online bookies are showing favouritism to the Gunners who are currently 3/4 with Ladbrokes. The visiting PSG side are best priced at 4/1 with Bet365 to pick up a surprising victory, while a draw pays 3/1 at BetGoodwin.
Probable Line-Ups
Arsenal (4-3-3): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Jorginho, Rice, Havertz; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli.
There were rumours that Riccardo Calafiori may have sustained a significant knee injury late on against Leicester at the weekend, but the Italian has avoided a major issue. A major boost for Arteta since Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko are already out through injury. Other absentees are Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino, Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu. The front trio should be formed by Leandro Trossard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, with Kai Havertz moved in midfield.
PSG (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Neves, Zaire-Emery; Lee, Kolo Muani, Barcola
Gianluigi Donnarumma, Vitinha, Marco Asensio, Desire Doue and Nuno Mendes should all recover in time to travel with the squad while Ousmane Dembele has not been included after a bust-up with his manager. Other absentees are Goncalo Ramos, Lucas Hernandez and Presnel Kimpembe. Up front, Randal Kolo Muani should start as central forward, flanked by the in-form Bradley Barcola and Lee Kang-in. In midfield Fabian Ruiz and Warren Zaire Emery are expected to partner Joao Neves.
Arsenal vs PSG Betting Tips
Both clubs are unbeaten in their domestic leagues this season and both were incredibly fortunate in their opening match in Champions League.
Arsenal have won four and drawn two in the Premier League, while PSG have five wins and a draw in Ligue 1.
The Gunners look solid at the back and playing in front of their own fans should give them an edge over injury-hit Paris Saint-Germain.
As a consequence, we back Arsenal to get all three points here. 1-0 and 2-0 are our recommended scorelines.
As to player betting, Gabriel Magalhaes has been a danger on set pieces so far and we back him to have a shot on target. Nuno Mendes looks a genuine candidate to get a card as he will face Bukayo Saka on his side of the pitch.
