Manchester United v Chelsea Betting Tips and Predictions (24.10.2020)
- Written by David Bet

The big games are coming thick and fast in the Premier League as Manchester United host Chelsea in the Saturday evening kick off. It’s been a mixed start for both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Frank Lampard, and it’s a game the bookies have got relatively close.
We offer our insight and bring our top predictions for the game, which looks all set to be a cracker...
United are priced at 7/5 with PariMatch, with Chelsea priced at 9/5. The Blues have drawn their last two fixtures, including a 3-3 thriller against Southampton last weekend. Lampard will be buoyed by Werner bagging a brace though and he’ll certainly be one to watch.
The draw can be backed at 13/5.
In the fixture last year, United got their season off to a great start with a 4-0 win. That can be backed again at 66/1 with BetVictor, although we do expect a much tighter contest.
Chelsea did get the better of the Red Devils last time out, with many critical of Solskjaer’s team selection as they were dumped out of the FA Cup in the Semi-Finals 3-1. That was their only win in seven against United though so it will be a tough game and one in which the hosts will be fully confident in.
A United win and BTTS looks a worthwhile punt at 16/5, while there are a number of VAR specials which certainly look appealing. A goal to be disallowed through VAR at 9/4 looks a worthwhile bet, and perhaps one that could be placed on any game this weekend.
Elsewhere, Werner to score and Manchester United to win 2-1 looks an interesting punt for the Score/Win market.
It is a game that could go either way, and it really does depend on which Manchester United side and which Chelsea side decides to turn up. Stars on both sides have been accused of failing to show up this season, but if they do then it could be the difference.
A draw may be a safe bet, but we can see the home side just edging this one. A Draw - Manchester United HT/FT bet would be our top punt priced at 11/2.
