Liverpool lost their first cup final in four years on Sunday. The two sides could not be separated after 120 minutes but the Reds saw the Citizens lift the trophy as goalkeeper Willy Caballero made himself the hero by saving three penalties. Jurgen Klopp has a lot of injury concerns in defense. In Premier League, the Citizens are nine points adrift of leaders Leicester, albeit with a game in hand, after suffering damaging home losses to title rivals Leicester and Tottenham. They are unbeaten on their league travels since before Christmas, but have also only won two of their last nine away games.

Manuel Pellegrini may keep changes to a minimum but he could rotate in the full-back areas, with Pablo Zabaleta and Aleksandar Kolarov real possibilities to come into the starting XI. Yaya Toure is a doubt with a foot injury and Wilfried Bony and Kelechi Iheanacho could both feature from the start. Joe Hart will return between the sticks despite Willy Caballero's penalty shoot-out heroics while Kevin de Bruyne, Fabian Delph and Samir Nasri remain on the sidelines.

Liverpool have had the better of the league meetings between these two sides in recent years, winning three of the last four. Liverpool triumphed 4-1 in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. while the corresponding fixture last season, almost a year to the day, saw Liverpool win 2-1.
