After achieving a top 3 finish in French Ligue 1, Lille made it to the Champions League qualifying stages, but they were knocked out by FC Porto in the play-offs. Les Dogues had a decent start to their Ligue 1 campaign but they have recently suffered back to back league defeats at Lyon and Guingamp. They lost three of last four league matches.Marvin Martin, Ryan Mendes, Jonathan Delaplace and Marcos Lopes remain out through injury. Nolan Roux featured from the bench at the weekend and may start here. Divock Origi, who is on loan from Everton's city rivals Liverpool, kicked off the new Ligue 1 campaign in great manner, but he has been struggling in front of goal in recent weeks.
Everton have been somewhat underwhelming in their domestic displays so far this season but they top their Europa League group after the impressive 4-1 win over Wolfsburg and 1-1 draw away to Krasnodar. The 3-0 win over Aston Villa at the weekend was exactly what they needed after a poor run of results.
The Toffees are still without John Stones and Kevin Mirallas while Steven Pienaar is a doubt. Everton's top scorer Steven Naismith has not travelled across the channel and Roberto Martinez may decide to rest Ross Barkley, after his comeback at Goodison Park last Saturday. Sylvain Distin and Arouna Koné are the other two long term absences. Eto'o might replace Lukaku up-front.
Both sides are eager their unbeaten run in the Europa League. Lille have only conceded 7 goals in their 10 league matches and 2 in the Europa League.
