Leicester vs Manchester City betting preview
Leicester have won just two of their last 16 games against Man City in all competitionsLeicester City caused a huge upset as they went to Chelsea and beat The Blues 1-0 last weekend to record their first win in three games. The Foxes aren not in the greatest form at the moment though as they have won just 3 of their last 11 Premier League outings. These two teams met earlier this month drawing 1-1 before Man City won a penalty shootout in the EFL Cup. The Foxes have managed to win just 1 of their 11 home games versus the Citizens, drew 3 and lost 7.
Claude Puel will be reluctant to make any changes from last time out. James Maddison and Jamie Vardy look very likely to feature from the off despite they were substituted in the final 10 minutes last time out. Hamza Choudhury has impressed in Leicester's last two matches and is expected to retain his starting berth in midfield. Vicente Iborra should come back into the side having been an unused substitute against Chelsea. Demaray Gray could earn a recall in attack after an impressive display at Stamford Bridge. No changes are expected in defesne with Ricardo Pereira and Ben Chilwell flanking the central pair Jonny Evans and Harry Maguire. The likes of Daniel Amartey and Matty James remain sidelined.
Manchester City cannot afford to drop points hereMan City were surprisingly beaten by Crystal Palace before Christmas and now trail Liverpool by 4 points - a gap that the Citizens will be desperate to close - and only 6 points ahead of Spurs, who also have a game in hand. City have conceded in each of their last eight games in all competitions and lost two of their last three Premier League games. Anyway, Pep Guardiola’s men have a pretty impressive record on the road as they have won 11 of their last 14 trips.
David Silva has returned to full training ahead of the visit to Leicester City and could make an immediate return to Pep Guardiola's squad but both Fernandinho and Vincent Kompany are major doubts for the visitors. Riyad Mahrez was named on the bench at the weekend and will hope to return to the starting XI to face former club. Anyway, Kevin De Bruyne is pushing for a start after scoring against Palace last time out. Leroy Sanè and the fit-again Sergio Aguero are likely to complete the front trio, meaning that Raheem Sterling could be benched. Kyle Walker produced a dismal performance against the Eagles and could be replaced by the fit-again Danilo. Claudio Bravo, Eliaquim Mangala, and Benjamin Mendy are all still injured.
66/1 Leicester or 4/1 Man City to win
