LEICESTER vs CRYSTAL PALACE BETTING PREVIEW
Leicester recorded a 4-1 win over Southampton on Wednesday night to make it four successive Premier League wins. This run has lifted them in 8th position in the Premier League standings. The Foxes are W4 D1 L3 so far at home but have won the last three in a row and have only failed to score in one of their home games so far, a 2-0 loss to Manchester City. Leicester are unbeaten in the last 4 direct match in the top flight against the Eagles (W3 D1).
After being rested against Southampton, Vicente Iborra, Marc Albrighton and Demarai Gray could all return to the starting XI with Shinji Okazaki, Andy King and Ben Chilwell making way. Jamie Vardy is expected to spearhead the attack as usual with Riyad Mahrez tucked behind him. Islam Slimani provide a further option. The likes of Matty James, Robert Huth and Adrien Silva are still out.
Crystal Palace made a disastrous start to the campaign, but they also look much better under the new manager Roy Hodgson and are on a six-match unbeaten run. In midweek they clinched a 2-1 win over Watford with two goals within last three minutes of the game. For the first time this season, the Eagles are out of the relegation zone. Prior to Watford game, Christian Benteke missed a last-gasp penalty in their 2-2 home draw against Bournemouth. Palace have drawn their last two away games 0-0 against Brighton and West Brom and are also improving at the back.
Roy Hodgson will be without the suspended Luka Milivojevic who will be replaced by James McArthur in the middle of the park. In defense, Timothy Fosu-Mensah will almost certainly miss out. Joel Ward has missed the last two matches with a groin injury and remains sidelined, so Martin Kelly is expected to fill in at right-back. Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke should again start up front in the 4-4-2 formation, though Bakary Sako is pushing for a start. Connor Wickham, Damien Delaney and Mamadou Sakho are also sidelined.
