Leicester v Chelsea betting preview
Leicester aim to make it nine wins from 13 games at the King Power Stadium this season
Leicester enter this clash on the back of a last-gasp Carabao Cup semi-final defeat at the hands of Aston Villa (2-1). In Premier League, they are still eight points above Chelsea in third. The Foxes were recently beaten by Southampton and Burnley in the league, before bouncing back with a 1-0 away win in FA Cup against Brentford a 4-1 home win over West Ham in Premier League. The last time the sides met was back in August in Frank Lampard’s first home game as Chelsea manager as the points were shared in a 1-1 draw at Stamford BridgeJamie Vardy played 25 minutes against in midweek on his return from injury but should start this one. Kelechi Iheanacho is the obvious candidate to make way but Ayoze Perez's Jekyll-and-Hyde displays could force Brendan Rodgers to drop the Spaniard. Chelsea are 7-1-1 in their last nine visits to King Power Stadium in all competitions
Chelsea were left frustrated by their last couple of Premier League results. On the back of picking up just one point from games against Newcastle and Arsenal, Frank Lampard's men were made to fight to claim a 2-1 victory over Hull City in the FA Cup fourth last weekend. Plus, two league wins from their last six on the road is far from ideal for a team that is targeting a Champions League spot for the next season. The Blues are currently 4th in the standings, 8 points shy of Leicester and 6 above Wolves, Man UTD and Spurs. Chelsea have a good record at King Power Stadium as they have claimed four wins and a draw from their last five league and cup trips to this venueTammy Abraham is a huge doubt for the Blues and Michy Batshuayi is expected to spearhead the attack. William and Callum Hudson-Odoi will flank the Belgian, as Christian Pulisic is expected to remain on the sidelines through injury. Pedro and Olivier Giroud were rumoured to leave the club by they both remained at the club for the rest of the season. Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante are likely to start in the middle of the park while Kurt Zouma and Fikayo Tomory should get the nod over Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger for the centre back spots.
