JUVENTUS v AC MILAN BETTING PREVIEW
Juventus have won their last 30 home games in Serie A but come from an unconvincing display at Udinese, being held to a 1-1 draw on a tough away day on Sunday. They still top the league table with a 8 points gap over 2nd placed Roma and the crucial clash with Porto in Champions League is their main concern at the moment. The Bianconeri have always defeated Milan at the Juventus Stadium in Serie A: five wins, with three clean sheets. They boast the best defensive record in Italy: only 18 goals conceded in 27 fixtures and 5 clean sheet in their last 6 home matches.
Massimiliano Allegri is without Juan Cuadrado but he will keep faith in his 4-2-3-1 system as Marko Pjaca is likely to replace the Colombian. Gonzalo Higuain will spearhead the attack while the remaining two attacking berths will be occupied by Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic. Dani Alves will be deployed as right back, forming a four man backline alongside Leonardo Bonucci, Mehdi Benatia and Alex Sandro. Defender Giorgio Chiellini and midfielder Stefano Sturaro are both sidelined.
AC Milan have won their last 3 league matches and travel to the Juventus Stadium on the back of a convincing 3-1 win over Chievo last weekend. They have secured narrow wins at Bologna (0-1) and Sassuolo (0-1), as well as a 1-1 draw at Lazio, on their last three trips. As a result, the Rossoneri sit 7th in the Serie A standings, at touching distance from the Europa League qualification spots. The Rossoneri secured a 1-0 victory in their first league direct encounter this season. Furtheremore, they beat the Bianconeri on penalties in the Supercoppa Italiana, but narrowly lost in Coppa Italia (2-1) at this ground in January.
Due to the absence of Ignazio Abate, Vincenzo Montella will probably field Leandro Romagnoli at left-back once again and Mattia De Sciglio on the right. In that case, Cristian Zapata and Gabriel Paletti will start as centre back, with Leonel Vangioni and Gustavo Gomez providing alternatives in defense. Juraj Kucka is not expected to start, so he should feature from the bench along with Manuel Locatelli. The front trio will be formed by Gerard Delofeu, Carlos Bacca and Suso. The likes of Riccardo Montolivo andd Giacomo Bonaventura remain out through injury.
