INTER MILAN v FIORENTINA BETTING PREVIEW
After Inter Milan have decided to go to the steady Luciano Spalletti for the new season. They ave not made big name signings during this summer window but the new Chinese owners have tinkered with the team expecially in midfield, as they have brought in Matias Vecino and Borja Valero from Fiorentina. The pre-season has been quite brilliant for the Nerazzurri who recorded wins over the likes of Lyon, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Betis and Villarreal in the pre-season friendlies.
Spalletti has no injuries or suspensions to worry about ahead of the new season but Muaro Icardi has only played 45 minutes in the presason and could be in contention with Eder to spearhead the attack. Borja Valero should be preferred to Joao Mario in the number ten role, while Antonio Candreva and Ivan Perisic are likely to retain their starting berth on the flanks. Roberto Gagliardini and Matias Vecino should start in midfield while the four man backline should be formed by Danilo D'Ambrosio, Joao Miranda, milan Skriniar and new signing Dalbert Henrique.
The Viola have made wholesale changes to their squad and that is set to continue with Nikola Kalinic expected to join AC Milan before the transfer deadline. Other than Vecino and Borja Valero, also Federico Bernardeschi has left the club. This game sees Stefano Pioli return to the San Siro, having taken over Fiorentina after a stint as interim boss at Inter. The recent game between the two clubs saw Inter Milan travel to Artemio Franchi and suffered a 5-4 defeat. In the last game between the two clubs at the San Siro, Inter were able to pick up a 4-2 win.
Giovanni Simeone has been signed from Genoa to replace Kalinic and he is in contention with Khouma Babacar for the lone striker berth. New signings Valentin Eysseric and Gil Dias are expected to feature from the off as offensive midfielders, since Federico Chiesa is out through suspension. Vitor Hugo will partner Davide Astori as centre-back wiht Maximiliano Olivera and Bruno Gaspar playing as full backs. Milan Badelj and Riccardo Saponara are not 100% fit and could be benched. As a result, new signing Jordan Veretout and Carlos Sanchez will start in the middle of the park.
