FRANCE v NIGERIA BETTING PREVIEWLes Bleus won their group by scoring eight goals and conceding just two. They thrashed Honduras 3-0 and handed Switzerland, who were thought to be their main challengers in the group, a 5-2 demolition. Then they were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by 10-man Ecuador in their final group game.
Deschamps' team will be at full strength and fresh for this match, as Patrice Evra, Yohan Cabaye and Mathieu Valbuena all rested in the last group match facing Ecuador. Sakho escaped punishment for his elbow against Ecuador but he will not start as well. Paul Pogba and Moussa Sissoko will both be hopeful of starting in midfield, with the Juventus star currently sitting in pole position to feature from the start.
Nigeria's campaign didn't start well when they were held 0-0 by Iran but they won the key match with Bosnia 1-0 and those four points were sufficient in the end. Despite the Super Eagles lost 3-2, they still secured a spot in the next round after Iran’s loss to Bosnia & Herzegovina. They could be very dangerous: the Nigerians improved significantly in each of their early AFCON 2013 matches, peaking in the knockout rounds with a win over Ivory Coast and going on to lift the trophy.
Victor Moses missed out through injury last time out but he has recovered, along with Godfrey Oboabona, who may replace Yobo at the heart of the defence. Babatunde will miss out having fractured his arm against Argentina. Musa and Odemwingie will support Emenike up-front.
France should dominate this game in terms of possession, with Nigeria happy to sit back and counter as they did against Argentina last time out. The African team have kept recent clean sheets against Greece and Iran but France have completely different quality in attack.
