FIORENTINA vs JUVENTUS BETTING PREVIEW
Fiorentina returned to winning ways last weekend as they beat Bologna 2-1 away from home and the victory moved them closer to 7th spot in the Serie A standings. Prior to that, they suffered two heavy defeats - 3:1 at Sampdoria and 1-4 at home against strugglers Verona. These were very frustating preformance as they cam after two good 1-1 draws against Inter and AC Milan. Fiorentina have scored and conceded in their last 5 matches, with the last three seeing Over 2.5 goals.
Coach Stefano Pioli will not count upon Vincent Laurini and should promote German Pezzella in the starting XI as the Argentine has served a one-match ban. That would see Nikola Milenkovic partnering Davide Astori at the heart of the back. No changes are expected in midfield where Marco Benassi, Milan Badelj and Jordan Veretout should all feature from the off. Up front, Gil Dias is expected to retain his berth, joining Federico Chiesa and Giovanni Simeone in attack. The likes of Riccardo Saponara, Cyril Thereau and Diego Falcinelli provide further offensive options.
Juventus are keeping the same pace of Napoli as they have both won the last 7 league fixtures. The Bianconeri enter this clash on the back of an impressive 7-0 home win against Sassuolo, a morale-booster ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash against Tottenham. Max Allegri's men are 1 point shy of Serie A leaders Napoli. They have only conceded a goal in the last 13 games (in a 1-3 win over Hellas Verona) and have kept a clean sheet in each of their last six outings.
Douglas Costa has recovered from his injury but Federico Bernardeschi is favourite to start the match against his former team, forming an attacking trio alongside Mario Mandzukic and Gonzalo Higuain. The likes of Juan Cuadrado and Paulo Dybala remain absent. In midfield, Claudio Marchisio and Rodrigo Betancur are in contention for a starting berth, while Sami Khedira and Miralem Pjanic appears sure starters, since Blaise Matuidi is ruled out and Stefano Sturaro a major doubt. In defense, Stephan Lichtsteiner should get the nod over Mattia De Sciglio at right back, with Alex Sandro starting on the right side, Mehdi Benatia and Giorgio Chiellini paired at the centre.
