Everton vs West Ham betting preview
Everton are searching for consistency, yet to win successive matchesEverton have drawn three of their four opening league games so far, including last two EPL fixtures against Bournemouth and Huddersfield. Their only win of the season was a nervy affair against Southampton. All Marco Silva’s men problems lie at the back, having failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their five competitive fixtures this season. The Toffees have won more Premier League matches and scored more goals against West Ham than they have versus any other team.
Seamus Coleman will miss a couple of weeks with the foot injury he picked up on international duty. Jonjoe Kenny may deputise, though Leighton Baines or Lucas Digne could be asked to do a job on their weaker sides. Yerry Mina trained for the first time with the squad but will not be involved just yet. André Gomes is also out of action and the wait for his Everton debut continues. Phil Jagielka and Michael Keane remain out, while Richarlison serves the last of a three-match suspension while Richarlison serves the last of a three-match suspension.
West Ham have made an abysmal start to the seasonWest Ham have lost their first four league matches and sit rock bottom in the Premier League standings. The Hammers have conceded 10 goals already, the worst record in the division. Manuel Pellegrini's men have suffered a 4-0 defeat at Liverpool, 3-1 at Arsenal and lost both home games against Bournemouth (1-2) and Wolves (0-1). Their only respite has been a Carabao Cup victory against AFC Wimbledon. As to direct encounters, West Ham have claimed one win from their last 11 trips to Goodison Park.
The Hammers will continue to be without Winston Reid and Andy Carroll this weekend. Furthermore, Jack Wilshere has been ruled out with an ankle injury, while Javier Hernandez is a doubt. Mark Noble or Pedro Obiang would seem the favourites to deputise in midfield while Michail Antonio and Robert Snodgrass could once again get the nod over Andriy Yarmolenko for the two winger berths. Marko Arnautovic will lead the line with Felipe Anderson likely to be tucked behind the Austrian.
