CHELSEA v MANCHESTER CITY BETTING PREVIEW
Chelsea enter this match on the back of a surprising defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace at the weekend. Although unbeaten in eight league fixtures leading up to the Palace clash, the runaway leaders had not kept a clean sheet since mid-January, and have conceded in each of their last eight. The Blues are seven points clear at the top from second-placed Spurs, and are 11 ahead of Pep Guardiola's City. They won the contest at the Etihad 3-1 earlier this season, in a match that ended in chaos with Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho sent off in injury time. Anyway, City's last trip to Chelsea heralded a 3-0 win, thanks to a Sergio Aguero hat-trick.Victor Moses is still a doubt after sitting against Crystal Palace. Pedro played at right wing-back in the his absence, but Antonio Conte may consider using Cesar Azpilicueta in that position, with Kurt Zouma starting as third central defender. Willian only came on as a second-half substitute on the weekend, so if Moses is unavailable, he may earn a recall on the right of the front three, alongside Diego Costa and Eden Hazard.
Man City did not take advantage of Chelsea's slip as they drew 2-2 at Arsenal on Sunday. They sat in fourth place and this game will be more realistically crucial in their hopes for Champions League qualification. The Citizens are undefeated in eight. Anyway, they have have won two of the last three Premier League meetings and drawn their last 3 matches in the top-flight. Manchester City have lost just one of their last six Premier League games in London (W3 D2).
Jesus Navas may continue at right-back despite Pablo Zabaleta being available. Aleksandar Kolarov was an unused substitute at the Emirates, so he looks set to push for a recall, either at centre-back or left-back. Yaya Toure only played 45 minutes against Arsenal and could be deployed as midfield base, with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Leroy Sane behind the lone striker Sergio Aguero. The Spaniard Nolito provides the main alternative in the wide positions. Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus remain in the treatment room, with Bacary Sagna also likely to miss out once more.
