LOS ANGELES RAMS vs ARIZONA CARDINALS BETTING PREVIEW
With a 4-2 record so far, the Los Angeles Rams have been among the league’s more surprising teams this season and find themselves as the leader of the NFC West Division. They bounced back from their loss against Seattle in impressive fashion as the Rams beat Jacksonville 27-17 with their special teams scoring 14 points. And prior to that, the Rams won back-to-back at San Francisco and Dallas while their losses have been to Seattle and Washington.
The Rams are playing exceptionally well this season thanks to their quarterback Jared Goff. The second-year player has thrown for 1484 yards and 8 touchdowns, completing 60 percent of his passes. Furthermore, their running back Todd Gurley has exceeded 100 yards in three of the past four games. He is truly a remarkable talent, and may be the best RB in football right now.
The Arizona Cardinals boast a W3 L3 record and are coming off their best effort of the season, a 38-33 victory over Tampa Bay Buccaneers last weekend. They will be searching for the same type of balance on offense that they got last week against Tampa Bay, when they ran 35 times for 160 yards and two touchdowns and threw 22 passes for 283 yards and three touchdowns. They own the edge in the recent rivalry with the Los Angeles Rams, winning five of the last seven meetings outright, going 5-2 against the spread.
The problem for Arizona has been a completely anemic running attack. Starter Chris Johnson had just 114 yards on 45 carries, but that was until last weekend. The Cardinals traded for superstar Adrian Peterson who had a spectacular debut last time out with 134 rushing yards, and two touchdowns. The performance of their new running back should take a great deal of pressure off quarterback Carson Palmer.
