BRIGHTON vs CHELSEA BETTING PREVIEW
Brighton enter this match on the back of a 2-0 reverse at West Brom a week ago.
After a run of just one win in the last 12 Premier League games, the Seagulls find themselves just three points above the bottom three. This run includes a 2-0 defeat they suffered when they visited Stamford Bridge for a Boxing Day fixture. Anyway, Brighton are undefeated in their last four matches on their own turf and they have only lost two league games at the Amex Stadium thus far. Chris Hughton's men s have failed to score in 8 of their last 11 league matches, but have conceded more than twice just once in that run.
Chris Hughton has a full squad to choose from apart from Steve Sidwell, who will miss the rest of the season. The Seagulls boss could name the same XI the started the West Brom game. This would see Glenn Murray leading the line, supported by Pascal Gross in a 4-4-1-1 system. Anthony Knockaert and Josè Izquierdo will be the wingers while Davy Propper and Dale Stephens will anchor the midfield. No changes are expected in defense as Gaetan Bong, Lewis Dunk, Shane Duffy and Bruno are expected to form the backline.
Chelsea needed penalties to see off Norwich City in the FA Cup last Wednesday, in a match that saw them finish up with only 9 men. Despite they are unbeaten in their last seven fixtures in Premier League, the Blues are a whopping 15 points behind league leaders Manchester City - having drawn their last two fixtures against Leicester and Arsenal. Furthermore, Antonio Conte's men have won just one of their last five away from Stamford Bridge. Anyway, they have won 10 of their last 11 fixtures with newly-promoted team and have kept clean sheets in six of their last 10 visits to teams outside of the top six.
Alvaro Morata and Pedro are suspended after being sent off in FA Cup. As a result, Eden Hazard is expected to play as false nine with Willian tucked behind him. Ross Barkley is still unavailable, altough he is working his way back to full fitness. Cesc Fabregas has a hamstring problem and is a doubt, whilst Gary Cahill limped off against the Foxes and is expected to be replaced by Antonio Rudiger. The likes of Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso will start as wing backs while Tiemouè Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater will join N'Golo Kantè in central midfield.
